When thinking about being Men of Legacy, “legacy” may seem an odd term to use, since not all legacies are good ones. It is, however, a certainty that we shall all bequest. We take the position that if we keep this reality in focus, most men will want to leave a good legacy – a Legacy that has demonstrated strong character, unquestioned integrity, Godly piety, and most of all, that we have loved much.
So how do we do this when the demands of modern life can leave us with so little time to focus on how to do life better? Our ministry to men is not intended to be yet another thing to add to your busy schedule. It is intended to give refuge, to take time out and be with others who share your burdens as a man in today’s world. At Sewell Mill, it is our desire to help men become the spiritual leaders of their homes and the church. We do this through working together to fulfill our call as servant leaders. To be sure, there is always much fun to be had, but our primary focus is in making ourselves better husbands, better fathers, and better friends. What’s happening next?
