Endings & Beginnings – and the glory of the two!
As I write this, the school teachers are beginning to arrive for pre-planning and the quiet of the summer is coming to an end. I find myself thanking God for the ending and the beginning. Sometimes it can be too quiet around here!
It doesn’t take long to miss the incredible amount of clamor that can be generated by little feet. I mean really, how can a foot that small, that is attached to a body that weighs so little, make so much sound? It doesn’t take long to miss the familiar plea of ‘walking feet!’
It doesn’t take long to miss the ‘show’ of watching all the expressions that can be generated on the face of teenagers as they arrive in the mornings.
I could never express all the emotions surrounding having the Christian School in session – and having the breaks that are essential to sustaining everyone’s emotional health.
But more than anything else, I wish I could express the gratitude and thankfulness that I have for God. I am overwhelmed to think that He allows us to be a part of all of this. Just behind that is the gratitude and thankfulness that I have for the teachers and parents that make all of this possible.
So let it end and let it begin!
